You know something is very wrong with the state of America when someone commits a disgraceful public act and gets financially supported instead of shamed out of public square. This is the kind of story that speaks volumes about the state we're in as a country. It's hard to imagine that we've fallen to such low. Sometimes it makes you wonder, have we hit the bottom, or should we expect new lows?
A bar employee at Avery, an upscale restaurant in Chicago, where Eric Trump happened to dine that day, spit on Eric Trump for being the president's son. She was detained by secret service and that very day was placed on leave from work indefinitely. Now this activist has a GoFundMe page established on her behalf by her friend for her supposed "brave act" of spitting on somebody with who's views she disagrees.
The bar employee's name or picture has not been released to the public.
The guy who setup the GoFundMe for this rabble-rouser said:
“My friend allegedly spat on Eric Trump and got fired. That's what happens when we bring the crises from our neighborhoods to the people causing/getting rich off those crises, I want to make sure she's good to go until she finds a new job, and that she won't have to worry about paying any legal fees etc. Throwdown to support this young badass who wasn't going to let some jagoff bully get away with his nonsense.”
He then added:
“We're trying to keep her anonymous for now, to keep her and her family safe, so you're not going to find her name here. This stuff might all blow up or her name might get leaked or whatever, so this page might disappear. Stay tuned on other social media to keep tabs on what's happening,”
GoFundMe collected more than $5,000 — which was its stated goal.
Only in a new America a bully is the new victim.
Trump told Breitbart News that this was evidence of “desperation” on the part of opposition.
“It was purely a disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems," he told the outlet. "For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning."
We should all go to GoFundMe and ask if the page would still be up if someone spat on Chelsea Clinton, or Malia Obama?
