Peter Vlaming, is a French teacher in West Point High School, who was put on administrative leave, and fired shortly after for using feminine pronouns toward a female student that believes she is a male. It is the first case of its kind in the state of Virginia, and the West Point School Board voted unanimously to fire Peter Vlaming.

Vlaming went to great lengths to accommodate the student without violating his own faith. He even used the student’s new name to avoid upsetting the student, but avoided from using pronouns altogether in the student’s presence.

“I’m happy to avoid female pronouns not to offend because I’m not here to provoke,” Vlaming told the press, “but I can’t refer to a female as a male and a male as a female in good conscience and faith.”

However, this wasn’t enough to satisfy the student’s family or the school board.

The official straw that broke a camel’s back took place when Mr. Vlaming shouted for someone to help ‘her’ as the transgender student almost ran into a wall. This plain incident and genuine sympathetic response turned into a nightmare for the teacher.

The school’s administration required Mr. Vlaming to play along and pretend that a student born as a woman has now morphed into a real man, but Mr. Vlaming simply refused to violate his conscience and pretend that a girl can become a boy and vice versa. Mr. Vlaming was found guilty of holding fast to the biological reality that God made male and female. Mr. Vlaming was informed that his old fashion, common sense views was no longer acceptable in a public school system and he was now required to go through his own cognitive evolution. He was expected to refrain from using female pronouns toward the female student that was transformed into a male if he wanted to keep his job.

The Times-Dispatch reported:

The hearing drew an overflow crowd, made up largely of parents and students supporting a man they described as a model teacher who does extra duty as a soccer coach and bus driver. A stack of signs that read “Justice for Mr. Vlaming” sat by the door, but school officials said no signs would be allowed in the small meeting room that could fit only a fraction of the crowd.

After the hearing Superintendent Laura Abel delivered her verdict:

“Mr. Vlaming was recommended for termination due to this insubordination and repeated refusal to comply with directives made to him by multiple WPPS administrators,”

Students, however, were not as delusional as the administrators of the school and held a walkout on December 7th in support of Mr. Vlaming. Their signs, read: “You can’t impose delusion on us!” and “Men are men. Women are women. #JusticeForVlaming.”

According to the Conservative Mom Blog the most unfortunate thing about this situation is that it proves it’s virtually impossible to uphold the rights of everyone. If someone is a Christian and believes that transgenderism is wrong, then they have the right, according to the Constitution, to stand firm with that belief. But when you place that right next to someone else’s right to change their sex and their identity, then you have two conflicting rights will require the courts to determine what should be done to address them both fairly. In almost all cases, out of fear of the mob, or ideology, such cases go against Christian beliefs.

Is it really happening that some mentally ill patient gets a teacher fired for being morally right and factually correct? Please support Peter Vlaming by signing his petition. You may also contact school board members and administrators directly and let them know how you feel about their blatant capitulation to transgender mental illness.
