Persecution in America

Can You Imagine?

Persecution in America?  In the Conservative State of Idaho?

Can you picture yourself in this scenario?  You are a legal immigrant from a former Soviet Union nation, and now a loyal, voting citizen of USA.  You sought asylum in America from the anti-Christian persecution of Marxist atheism, along with many other family members and members of your Christian faith community.  Now you are a member of a thriving congregation of believers in Boise, Idaho, Morning Star Christian Church.  In fact, you are not only a member, you are one of the leaders of the church and of the Christian school that the church has built and which functions on the church property.  Not only so, but as a diligent entrepreneur, you also own and operate your own business, which is doing very well.  Peace and harmony!  Then suddenly, everything changes!

At 6:00 a.m. on August 22, 2018, 28 armed FBI agents show up at your door (without a search warrant), demand entrance, point their weapons at you and your children, and demand that you surrender all your weapons and your money.  (They find very little of what they apparently expected to find, but take what they can, along with other personal property such as computers, etc.)  Then they demand that you come with them to jail.  On the way you overhear them asking one another who (if anyone) has a search warrant.)  They freeze your bank accounts and put you under house arrest and constant surveillance – tapping into phone and email correspondence.  They have charged you with money laundering and seem intent on vindicating their actions.

It is now over two months since the surprise attack and two of your brothers are still being held in jail without any legitimate charges or evidence of wrongdoing.  How would you feel?  Would you wonder: “Is there anyone who can help us?  What does God have in mind for me and my family?”  I choose to put my trust in Him – and keep loving and trusting Him even when I don’t understand why this is happening. Oh, yes!  Where in this case is the Biblical principle and American standard of law that an individual is innocent unless proven guilty?

Friends, this is not make-believe hype!  This is what has actually happened to our friends, Peter & Zoya Babichenko!  They have been loyal and consistent financial and prayer supporters of our Overseas Outreach mission.  I have been a guest speaker many times at Morning Star Christian Church, and I am willing to testify to the integrity of the Babichenko family.  Will you help me to help them?

In describing to me what happened to his family, Peter mentioned that even in the Soviet Union such intruders never pointed their weapons at the children.

Is this the America our founding fathers intended and designed on Biblical principles?  Is this the kind of system you want your children and grandchildren to live in?  If not, will you help restore our constitutional freedoms based on truth and justice?  Will you help me help this family?

I remember reading Martin Niemöller’s description of how the German people turned over total control of their nation to the Nazi party because of fear.  Here is a close approximation of what he wrote: “They came for the Jews – and we didn’t speak up because we weren’t Jews.  They came for the Gypsies – and we didn’t speak up because we weren’t Gypsies.  They came for the trade unions – and we didn’t speak up because we weren’t trade unionists.  They came for the communists – and we didn’t speak up because we weren’t communists.  Then they came for us – and there was no one left to speak up!”

By the way, it’s true that the Nazis were not communists, but they were Marxists who followed the same basic philosophy.  The Nazis were the National Socialist Party.  Did you know that Hitler and Stalin were comrades who cooperated together for a time?  Hitler learned from Stalin and the communists how to organize the concentration camps and some torture tactics.  However, you cannot have tyrants with each vying for world domination who will live in peace and harmony.

Are we going to speak up while we still can, or cower in fear to let the so-called “progressives” take over?  Let’s remember what Paul wrote to Timothy: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)  To the Romans, Paul wrote: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”  Romans 8:37 (NKJV)  Let’s be who we are in Christ!
